Eli is a Partner and the Chair of the Tax Law and Private Client Group at STHI. His practice is focused on providing corporate and personal tax, estate, trust, and wealth preservation strategies and planning for entrepreneurs, professionals, and high net worth individuals and their businesses.
Eli assists his clients with implementing structures for investments and businesses, including professional corporations, corporate reorganizations, estate planning, purchases and sales of businesses and real estate, and charities, private foundations and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining STHI, Eli was a partner at a boutique GTA tax and business law firm. Both highly detailed and experienced, Eli has the unique ability to see the big picture while focusing on the finer points of a client’s needs. A straight shooter, clients appreciate his problem solving skills and look to Eli as a trusted advisor and friend and not just their lawyer. Eli received his Bachelors in Administrative Studies from York University (1999) and his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School York (2002). Eli was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003. Away from the office, Eli volunteers his time to various charitable organizations, including Chai Lifeline/Team Lifeline, which assists children with cancer and other chronic lifelong illnesses. A devoted husband and father of four, Eli enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and is a proud spectator-Dad at the myriad of sports activities his children partake in. To keep his sanity and trim his waist-line, Eli took up running and is now an avid runner having participated in several half-marathons throughout North America.
